Zoller Hardware’s Silver Anniversary

by Ashley Stewart

Twenty-five years is a long time for anything. To stay in business that long in our rapidly changing world is quite a feat. As The Plateau continues to grow and evolve, Zoller Hardware Gift & Gadget Mercantile is celebrating its Silver Anniversary of being a staple in Cashiers Valley.

Opened in 1994 by Florida natives Jim and Paula Zoller, Zoller Hardware has been providing the residents and visitors of Cashiers with everything they need to maintain their homes and make their vacations memorable.

It’s more than just a hardware store. It’s also the largest gift shop in town and the only Stihl-certified small engine repair shop.

In 2015, the Zollers took a well deserved retirement and sold the store to the current owners, Glenn and Kim Ubertino. They’ve maintained the familiar ‘ole country store feel while expanding their services and product lines to better serve the community. Zoller Hardware is now the only certified dealer of Big Green Egg, Napoleon and Weber grills, as well as Stihl and Milwaukee equipment.

“We’re honored to be able to serve our community,” says Glenn, “We look forward to continuing to grow and provide excellent service for future generations.”

On Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12, come by and celebrate this milestone anniversary at their annual Fall event. Everyone’s favorite classic rock & roll band, Hurricane Creek, will be playing as you feast on the delicious offerings from Big Green Egg and Whiteside Brewing Company. The ever-popular Tent Sale will be open, with a wide selection of gifts and products available for 50 percent off.

Of course, no birthday party would be complete without a birthday cake. A giant birthday cake will be served to celebrate.

So come on by, grab a slice of cake and a beer, and raise a glass.

Cheers, Zoller Hardware! Here’s to another 25 years of being a wonderful resource for the entire community.
