The Uncommon Cashiers Commons

by Ashley Stewart

Cashiers is spread out, there’s no way around it. Some people arrive at the Crossroads and assume that they’ve seen everything.

Not by a long shot. In fact, if they head north on Highway 107 for just a few hundred yards, they’ll come to a remarkable assemblage of shops, right on the road, but at once removed, like they’re just waiting to be discovered.

This is Cashiers Commons, a development that demands careful browsing if you’re looking to improve your home or improve yourself.

Just consider these possibilities:

If they don’t have it, you don’t need it. Zoller Hardware Gift and Gadget Emporium is celebrating 25 years of being an institution in Cashiers. Everything from gifts and hardware to paint and power equipment, they have everything you need to take care of your mountain getaway. They are also licensed dealers of Weber grills, Big Green Egg and Stihl equipment. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Just ask! They can order just about anything from their warehouse. They’re open Monday – Saturday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.. Call (828) 743-5001.

Bombshell Hair Boutique is here to bring out your inner bombshell. The friendly atmosphere at this full-service hair salon is second only to the attentiveness of their professional stylists. They offer a wide range of hair products including Olaplex and Pureology, but they don’t just stop at hair. They also carry Rodan + Fields skin care products, as well as a selection of beautiful jewelry. Be sure to snap up one or both of the designer-created Cashiers or Bombshell candles. They’re open by appointment only. To schedule your appointment, call (828) 342-9623.

The kitchen is the heart of the home, and Cashiers Kitchen Co. is here to help you make it uniquely you. Their high-end appliances and cookware will take your cooking game to the next level. The selection of gadgets and giftware make the perfect hostess gifts. But it’s not all just your indoor kitchen that they cater to. Check out their line of Lotus and Traeger grills.
