England’s Great Golf Courses
by Tom Chillemi
With the Open Championship returning to Royal St. George’s in 2020, England and its great courses are in the spotlight.
Many people overlook England as a golf destination with such great options nearby in Scotland and Ireland. But as you can see in the testimonial below, England is an incredible golf destination worth considering for your next golf trip. Tom’s Golf Tours would love to help you arrange a trip you’ll never forget, to England, Scotland, Ireland, or Spain.
“I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for setting my family up with the golf trip of a lifetime through Tom’s Golf Tours.
“My sons, Jack and Michael and myself, along with my non-golfing wife Linda, went on this adventure. We played golf 11 times in nine days on courses such as Royal Birkdale, Royal St. Georges, and ending our trip at Sunnydale Old and New in London. In all, we played the four current Open Championship venues in England, former Ryder Cup Venues, Open Qualifying venues, and other great courses. We toured from the Irish Sea near Liverpool, across the country to the English Channel at Sandwich, and back to London to conclude our trip.
“This trip would not have been possible without the great assistance of our tour guide and friend, Stewart Smith of McLaren Golf. Stewart navigated our group across the country in an eight-passenger Sprinter Van, played golf with us, dined with us, stayed with us, and paid particular attention to Linda, arranging tours at Windsor Castle and the Kew Gardens for her while we were playing golf. While at Royal Birkdale, we were able to hold and take a picture of the Claret Jug. I cannot tell you how much Stewart’s assistance meant to our trip, as he made sure we had no issues.
“Once again, thanks again for planning and implementing a wonderful golf trip. We will be using Tom’s Golf Tours again.”
