A New Year’s Eve Wedding
by Shayna Bigazzi
There is no glitzier a holiday than New Year’s Eve, and to incorporate your wedding celebration into this festive day is a surefire way to guarantee your fête is nothing short of glamorous.
Amiee and Guy did just that as they tied the knot at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn.
In a stunning Grace Mariée custom black gown, Amiee walked down the aisle surrounded by candle-light and stunning florals by Floressence Flowers. Her bouquet contained accents of peonies and gorgeous white anemone with their signature black eye – the epitome of what a graceful, yet dramatic, flower looks like.
Amiee and Guy have a love of travel and adventure, and this was incorporated into their table “names” (rather than numbers) honoring places the couple have visited together. Each table included a framed photo of the couple in that specific place. A fitting theme as the couple became engaged after a hot air balloon ride in magical Cappadocia, Turkey.
Everything about the wedding was personal to both Guy and Amiee and they wanted their guests to feel the “shimmer” of New Year’s Eve with them. This was most certainly accomplished and made even better by the rocking strokes of US Beat Band of Atlanta, Georgia, with an amazing mix of vintage 80’s dance music and modern hits. With the help of their Planner, Jordan Flowers (Wedding Belles), they were able to bring all their “out of the box” visions to life.
As the clock struck midnight, guests enjoyed a Champagne toast before the newlyweds were treated to all their friends and family holding lit sparklers for their grand exit down the Farm’s signature stone staircase. Guy and Amiee ran through their tunnel of love and drove off into what will surely be their best adventure yet!
