On Friday, April 26, join Kevin Gillespie of Revival, Atlanta’s pacesetting new restaurant, as he crafts a dining experience that reflects his traditional family values. The menu is a delicious and loving tribute to the meals he often ate at his grandmother’s house. This classic Southern spread features farm-fresh ingredients, while showcasing Kevin’s refined culinary techniques.
A graduate from the Art Institute of Atlanta, Kevin worked in several well-known Atlanta restaurants, including Woodfire Grill. He opened two award-winning restaurants of his own. Gunshow in Atlanta has been featured in GQ and Esquire magazines. His latest restaurant, Revival in Decatur, Georgia, is where his skills in the kitchen genuinely shine, bringing a fresh take on the traditional Sunday dinner. On top of all of his other accomplishments, he is also the author of two cookbooks, “Fire in My Belly” and “Pure Pork Awesomeness.” He was also a finalist in the sixth season of Top Chef and was voted the “Fan Favorite” contestant of the season.
The four-course dinner will feature Charred Asparagus Salad, Foie Gras Mousse, Thrice Cooked Pork Belly, and Chile Rubbed Venison Loin. The finale to this extraordinary meal will be a Deconstructed Snow Monster – a Vanilla Frozen Custard with Cookie Crumble, Confit Strawberry, and Dark Chocolate. Each course will be expertly paired with a range of fantastic wines by sommelier Nick Demos of Tryon Distributing.
